Frequently Asked Questions

General & Getting Started

The basics.

Do you work with organizations outside Las Vegas?

Yes. We're based in Las Vegas, Nevada and work with clients across the country. Everything can be handled securely and remotely — cloud accounting, encrypted document sharing, and video calls — so location is never a barrier.

Do you offer personal bookkeeping?

Yes. Along with nonprofits and businesses, we also offer personal bookkeeping. If you'd like organized, accurate records for your own finances, email or call Michelle and we'll talk through what you need.

We're behind on our books. Can you still help?

Absolutely — catch-up and clean-up work is one of our specialties. We'll assess how far behind things are, give you a clear scope, and get your books current and reconciled before moving you onto a steady monthly rhythm.

Do you file our taxes?

We're bookkeepers, not tax preparers, so we don't file returns — but we make tax time painless. We deliver clean, reconciled, year-end-ready books and coordinate directly with your CPA or tax preparer so nothing falls through the cracks.

How do we get started?

It starts with a free, no-pressure consultation. Email or call Michelle (details are on our contact page) and we'll set up a quick call to learn about your organization and outline exactly how we can help.

Services & Software

What we handle.

Can I choose just one service instead of full bookkeeping?

Yes. Many clients start with a specific need — a clean-up project, software setup, or reporting — and add more over time. We'll scope exactly what you want and nothing you don't.

How is nonprofit bookkeeping different from business bookkeeping?

Nonprofits use fund accounting, which tracks money by its purpose — restricted grants, programs, and unrestricted funds — rather than a single bottom line. It also involves specialized reports like the statement of activities and financial position, and Form 990 support. We handle all of it.

Which accounting software do you use?

We work primarily in QuickBooks Online, and we're experienced across major systems including SAP Concur, BlackLine, Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft Dynamics GP. If you already have a system, we'll work in it; if you're starting fresh, we'll set up the best fit.

What does the monthly close look like?

Each month we categorize transactions, reconcile your accounts, post any needed adjustments, and deliver your reports — typically within the first several business days after month-end.

Pricing & Plans

What it costs.

How do you decide which plan fits us?

On a quick consultation we look at your transaction volume, number of accounts, whether you need nonprofit fund accounting, and how much reporting you want. From there we recommend the plan that fits — and never up-sell you into more than you need.

Is there a setup or onboarding fee?

For books that are current, onboarding is included. If your books need catch-up or clean-up first, we quote that as a separate one-time project so your ongoing monthly fee stays clean and predictable.

Are there long-term contracts?

No. We earn your business every month. Plans are month-to-month, and you can adjust as your organization grows or your needs change.

What if our needs change during the year?

Just tell us. We'll move you up or down a plan or adjust your custom scope so you're always paying for what you actually use.
